Збірник містить документи (листи), отримані Парламентом Великобританії в період з 20 липня по 1 вересня 1914 року з Франції, Росії, Німеччини, Австро-Угорщини, Італії, Бельгії, Сербії, а також промови в Палаті громад міністра закордонних справ Едварда Грея (3 серпня 1914 р.) та прем'єр-міністра Герберта Генрі Асквіта (4-6 серпня 1914 р.). У вступній статті описані події, що передували початку війни, починаючи з 23 червня 1914 року.
The collection contains documents (letters) received the UK Parliament in the period from July 20 to September 1, 1914 from France, Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy, Belgium, Serbia, and speech in the House of Commons Foreign Minister Edward Grey (August 3, 1914) and Prime Minister Herbert Henry Asquith (4-6 August 1914).
