У книзі наведено опис найбільш характерних протичовнових барражів та мінних загороджень; розглянуто зразки спеціальної зброї — глибинні бомби, міни, що буксируються, і глибоководні торпеди; освітлені технічні засоби, що служать для виявлення підводних човнів, - шумопеленгатори, магнітні та електромагнітні прилади; докладно змальовано діяльність бойових сил (надводних, підводних та повітряних), залучених до боротьби з підводними човнами. Призначена для командного складу військово-морського флоту, а також командним складом інших родів військ.
The book provides a description of the most characteristic anti-submarine barrages and minefields; samples of special weapons were considered - depth charges, towed mines and deep-sea torpedoes; the technical means used to detect submarines are highlighted - noise direction finders, magnetic and electromagnetic devices; the activities of the combat forces (surface, underwater and air) involved in the fight against submarines are described in detail. Designed for the command staff of the navy, as well as the command staff of other military branches.
